Maintenance Mechanic II

Responsible for routine and preventative maintenance of production equipment and machinery, troubleshooting and repair of electrical, electronic, pneumatic/hydraulic and mechanical equipment. Keeps plant machinery and mechanical equipment in good repair.

Other Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Responsible for rebuilding and overhauling equipment and machines such as molding machines, lasers, milling machines, welders, ovens, furnaces, punch presses, etc. when required.  Install or repair piping systems using proper plumbing and pipefitting techniques.
  • Work is performed in conformance with maintenance specifications and production scheduling requirements.
  • Responsible working with safe handling and disposal of hazardous materials and waste, and following proper procedures using a fork truck.
  • Assist facilities in troubleshooting and repair of support utilities such as compressed air systems, vacuum systems, compressed gases systems, process cooling water, lighting, and electrical power distribution.
  • Work with equipment manufacturers and suppliers to procure repair parts and supplies.
  • When required, open buildings and start support systems and machinery for production.
  • Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends and holidays
  • Assist operators in performing set-ups on production equipment and machinery when needed.
  • May provide training to less experienced maintenance staff.
  • Any other duties assigned.

Education or Formal Training: 

High School Diploma or GED and electrical and mechanical courses required. Ten years’ experience required in a maintenance role in a manufacturing facility.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

Familiar with Microsoft Office products. Ability to inspect equipment, recognize potential problems and independently take appropriate corrective action to prevent component failures or equipment down time.  Perform math functions with decimal and fractional numbers.  Must be able to read and work with engineering drawings and blueprints, do fabrication work, work with pneumatic/hydraulic circuits and electrical control circuits.  Understand tolerances and fits.  Must be able to stand, walk, kneel and bend required for virtually the entire shift. Required knowledge in building and electrical codes. Be able to effectively work in a team environment.

Effective verbal and written communication skills.  Must also be able to lift and handle 35 pounds.

 

 

Supervisor of Shipping & Receiving 

The Supervisor is responsible for directing the day to day operations of picking, shipping, receiving and inventory, including sales order fulfillment and responsibility over the finished goods inventory. Selects, trains, evaluates, and disciplines department personnel.  Has the authority to hire, fire, and recommend salary adjustments in accordance with company policies and procedures. The Supervisor will be responsible for a team of personnel and will have the ability to act independently to resolve problems, both personnel and productivity based.  Administers company policies and procedures in a consistent manner.

Other Responsibilities / Duties:

Ensure accurate warehouse facility locations for efficiency and to handle product additions, deletions, and protection.  Audits work in process and final auditing of planned cycle counts.  Works with Supervisors in Inventory and Packaging to resolve inventory and work order discrepancies.

Responsible for providing training in Picking, Shipping and Receiving.

Ensure performance of direct staff by measuring daily/weekly/monthly goals.

Any other duties assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education or Formal Training: 

Associates degree or bachelor’s degree required.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

  • Microsoft Office computer skills required; Microsoft AX preferred.
  • Must be detailed oriented. Ability and knowledge to fill in wherever necessary in Distribution to ensure productivity and quality control exceeds established expectations.
  • Requires leadership skills, interpersonal communication skills, and organization skills to direct employees.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time in addition to bending and reaching. Requires lifting of up to 50 pounds.

Experience: 

Minimum of 5 years of experience in distribution / warehouse required.

 

 

Planner I 

Planner I responsibilities include coordinating production workflow, scheduling and releasing work orders, balancing workloads with capacities to assure customer and company requirements are satisfied in a timely manner. Purchase raw material and finished goods while working closely with suppliers to discuss open orders, pricing, delivery, conflicts concerning material or services, etc. Maintain back order reports on both production and purchased goods and expedite items as necessary. Interface with all departments to identify and resolve constraints.

Other Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Planning and scheduling of production work orders in economical lots and methods to support sales and inventory requirements.
  • Release work orders to production floor in a manner consistent with MRP logic to ensure on time delivery of customer orders.
  • Review inventory availability of raw material and detail component requirements from bill of materials to determine if a work order should be released to work in process.
  • Review, select, or revise routings to balance workloads on the production floor. Interfaces with Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering, and all others concerned to coordinate routing revisions, alternatives and bill of material updates.
  • Review customer sales order backorders daily and adjust production sequence in order to get backordered products to customer as quickly as possible.
  • Place purchase orders for finished goods, raw material, service items and subcontracted material.
  • Maintain consistent contact with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery, expedite product as necessary, communicate quality related issues etc.
  • Maintain reasonable inventory levels on both manufactured and purchased product (as defined by executive management).
  • Work closely with the receiving department to resolve any incoming product discrepancies.
  • Coordinate returns and/or repairs of products as needed.
  • May be required to train others.  Any other duties assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education or Formal Training: 

Associates Degree required; a Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

Microsoft Office, math and statistics, proofreading and problem-solving skills required.  Excellent communication skills with both internal and external customers required. Ability to manage a large number of SKU’s. Maintain a positive attitude and outlook while dealing with daily problems and issues. Ability to initiate and maintain teamwork.  Understanding of basic concepts used by master resource scheduling systems:  a. Min\Max   b. Lead Times   c. EOQ

Experience: 

A minimum of two years’ work experience in a Manufacturing and/or Distribution environment with MRP operating experience, Microsoft Dynamics AX preferred.

 

 

CNC Machinist 

Responsible for machining components for dies, fixtures molds, and special machines and prototype parts from: sample parts, part drawings, partial tool drawings or sketches. This will be done with the use of: CNC mill, Wire EDM, Sinker EDM, hole popper and manual machining tools. As CNC machinist you will be responsible for setup, verifying NC programs, and completion of non-production parts. Occasionally perform maintenance operations on dies, fixtures, and molds. Assure work is performed according to design specifications, tolerances, and scheduling requirements.  Work with personnel in Tool & Die, Manufacturing departments, and Engineers as needed to solve problems.

Other Responsibilities / Duties:

May be required to train other employees as needed.  Any other duties assigned.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education or Formal Training: 

High school diploma or G.E.D.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability:

  • Good communication and problem‑solving skills required due to interdepartmental contact with manufacturing personal and section supervisors regarding tooling requirements.
  • Ability to read blueprints and consistently perform close tolerance machine work.
  • Must have knowledge of fabricating parts from: cold‑rolled steel, stainless steel, tool steels, aluminum, and plastic, along with knowing machining speeds and feeds.
  • The ability to program and model with ProE/Creo 4.0 is preferred. 

Experience: 

  • Five years of experience in a machine shop/tool room environment, in a non-production CNC environment. Operation of all basic tool room equipment/machinery: milling machines, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, and comparator.
  • Preferred experience with 3D modeling and programming for CNC and Wire EDM. RMO uses ProE/Creo for all modeling and programming.
  • Must possess a complete set of toolmaker tools, i.e.: Micrometer, calipers, indicator, etc.

 

Manufacturing Operators  

Full-Time and Part-Time positions available with occasional overtime
Day shift and possibly swing shift (which will include a shift premium) hours are available:
Day shift (6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday)
Swing shift (2:20 p.m. to 10:50 p.m. Monday through Friday)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs all operations necessary for preparing, brazing, and inspecting bracket/base assemblies and tubes
  • Spot and weld brackets, tubes, and lingual attachments to bands
  • Performs all operations necessary for molding, trimming, and staging of brackets
  • Responsible to select, count and package parts to fill orders for inventory as well as customer orders on a daily basis
  • All work is to be performed in conformance with quality specifications and scheduling requirements

Education/Experience/Skills Required:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to sit the majority of the day and work with very small parts using tweezers
  • Good eyesight and hand/eye coordination
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic math skills
  • Good attendance is a must
  • Previous Manufacturing experience is preferred
