Manufacturing Engineer

GENERAL PURPOSE / SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Provides technical support to all Operations, Manufacturing, and Engineering departments of the company through design, modification, optimization and/or procurement of new equipment/processes, tooling, manufacturing methods and systems for a more efficient, cost effective manufacturing operation. Designs, upgrades, and/or implements production equipment and/or processes to increase productivity, enhance quality, and achieve cost reduction.

Other Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Designs new tooling and fixtures to support process developments, improvements, and cost reductions.
  • Designs, conducts, and analyzes process experiments using statistical techniques.
  • Creates technical documentation that specifies the engineering requirements, manufacturing procedures, inspection methods, and required data records in compliance with regulatory requirements through Engineering Change Order (ECO)
  • Supports assigned manufacturing operation in the areas of processes, new product implementation, process and equipment validation, and troubleshooting methodologies.
  • Solves day-to-day production issues by troubleshooting processes and working directly with manufacturing supervisors
  • Provides necessary manufacturing planning specifications, equipment, and tooling to meet quality, cost, and schedules for the production of RMO products.
  • Selects the most appropriate manufacturing processes regarding rate/cost, repeatability, and reliability. Must have ability to develop methods by which to manufacture intricate, precision parts in low, medium, and high quantities.
  • Assists Quality Assurance and other technical service personnel on the resolution of customer complaints. Provides technical solutions to reported field problems.
  • Interfaces with external consultants and/or contractors in designing new or upgraded manufacturing processes or equipment.
  • Responsible for the timely and successful completion of large scale projects within budget constraints.

Education or Formal Training:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

  • Strong mechanical aptitude
  • Process Validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) experience required.
  • PTC Pro-Engineer / Creo or other CAD experience a plus.
  • Project Management skills a plus.

Experience:

Three to five years of direct hands‑on experience in manufacturing systems and processes (medical device or regulated environment preferred) including:

  • Metal machining, forming, and stamping
  • Injection molding
  • Laser Welding
  • Brazing
  • Quality Engineering
  • Inspection and Testing Methods/Equipment
  • Process Development/Programming
  • Design for Manufacturing (DFM)

Prior experience in industrial automation is preferred.

 

Manager of Distribution & Packaging

GENERAL PURPOSE / SUMMARY OF POSITION:

  • The Distribution/Packaging Manager supervises the daily activities of the Packing, Recap and Assembly area, as well as all activities of the warehouse and associated Supply Chain responsibilities, including, Picking, Packing, Shipping and Receiving.
  • Order fulfillment duties include both domestic and international shipments through multiple carriers and freight forwarders.
  • The Distribution/Packaging Manager ensures daily shipping goals are met or exceeded, works with production control and customer service to clear domestic/international orders in a timely manner.  Also responsible for tracking and confirming good work flow of in-process work orders, this includes sub-assembly work orders, work orders through the internal and external processing and incoming raw materials.
  • Responsible for maintaining the systems for the storage, shipping and issuance of materials in order to meet RMO service goals. Responsible for management of outgoing shipping method/vendor as well as be responsible for packaging efficiency and makes packaging recommendations.
  • The Distribution/Packaging Manager will be responsible for departmental budget both from a labor and expense standpoint.  They will also assist in monitoring and maintaining an accurate inventory status through RMO’s ERP system.
  • The Distribution Manager will be responsible for developing and managing analytical reports and tools through the IT department, including departmental dashboards and demand reports for work flow.
  • Responsible for Efficiency reporting, Work Order/Sales Order aging reports and Shipping Statistics.
  • The Distribution/Packaging Manager will analyze and make recommendations for further training as it pertains to internal system function and efficiency.
  • Responsible for the training, development and supervision of all staff in the Distribution department.   Authority to hire, terminate, and recommend salary adjustments.

Knowledge/Skills/Ability for this position include:

  • Must have understanding of domestic and international shipping and receiving logistics.
  • Operational ERP experience a must.

Requirements for this position include:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university, Master’s Degree preferred, specific focus in Supply Chain or Business Administration.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years Warehouse experience required.
  • Seven (7) years supervisory experience in a similar work environment.

 

Cost Accountant I & GL Support  

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Under general supervision, performs cost accounting functions involving the application of well established cost account standards, principles and practices. Computes unit cost of organization products and establish cost standards, adjusting them periodically as necessitated by changes in material and/or overhead costs. May compare actual cost to cost standards and prepare reports on variances by managing obsolete and scrap write-offs and adjustments to month end and inventory close. Also, responsible for applying principles of accounting to record financial information and prepare financial reports including maintaining fixed asset balances and all tax filings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain accurate fixed asset balances and PP&E roll forward.
  • Organizes and submits monthly, quarterly and annual tax filings for sales tax, excise tax and other federal and state entities.
  • Assists in month-end closing procedures including adjusting and re-occurring journal entries. Reviews and analyzes accounting transactions and prepares account reconciliations for assigned accounts.
  • Maintains CIP projects.
  • Reviews and analyzes month end inventory variances and makes appropriate adjusting entries.
  • Investigates and corrects material, labor and overhead variances.
  • Supports A/P coordinator in processing PO receipts and invoicing.
  • Ensures the validity and accuracy of ERP through analysis, internal audit and coordination with work order and production processing.
  • Assist with outside audit preparation.
  • May be required to train others.
  • Other duties and special projects as assigned

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • 2-5 years general ledger and cost experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • 2 years plus experience working with Microsoft Dynamics AX or 365.
  • Excellent Excel skills

EDUCATION:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance.

 

Business Intelligence Analyst

GENERAL PURPOSE / SUMMARY OF POSITION:

As a BI Analyst at RMO, your role is to be an expert at understanding RMO’s data. We expect you to help various teams in drawing insights from our data. This includes creating reports, dashboards, visualizations and business tools for use across the organization. You will also become knowledgeable in functional and some technical aspects of our ERP system (Dynamics AX 2012) and will be able to handle support related requests. Education or Formal Training:

Product Specialist

GENERAL PURPOSE / SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Under the direction of the Vice President of Product Development & Quality Engineering, the Product Specialist provides product support to Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Purchasing, and Customer Support by facilitating product release activities and communicating technical information with internal and external stakeholders.

Other Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Coordinate research, evaluation, and testing of current and prospective products.
  • Work directly with suppliers to source, evaluate, and release new products.
  • Interface with Marketing to develop and communicate product announcements, sales sheets, marketing materials, and technical requirements.
  • Support Engineering in establishing purchase specification documents and requirements.
  • Coordinate product surveys and market feedback from sales and customers.
  • Maintain and complete required documentation for all product release activities including part assignment, item masters, and pricing information.
  • Assist in developing and maintaining all aspects of a product life cycle information including, long- and short-term developments
  • Provide customer support and communications regarding product specifications, use, and performance.
  • Assist in product and sales training.

Education or Formal Training: 

Associate’s degree in Product Marketing or Engineering related field

Knowledge, Skills and Ability:

  • Computer Skills – MS Office skills. Must be very proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.

Inside Sales Representative

GENERAL PURPOSE / SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Inside Sales Representative will be responsible for calling on existing RMO customers and potential Orthodontic clients to increase the customer experience and increase RMO awareness. This position will identify and qualify opportunities, promote products and promotions, and work closely with regional outside sales representatives and Marketing Department to build relationships.  Serves as a direct liaison between RMO and the customer to provide the best possible representation of the company’s products, services and systems.

Other Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Generate leads and drive new sales via phone and email
  • Create and maintain relationship with all customers
  • Cross selling and upsell
  • Works with outside sales and the Marketing Department to aid in customer experience by following up with customers to assure satisfaction, respond to queries, solicit future sales and solve or refer problems.
  • Maintain a fluent understanding of Orthodontic market
  • Tracks the results of all sales / sales methodology activities
  • Inform customers of promotions and new or improved products
  • Process Customer orders
  • Maintain Phone time or sales quotas as determined by management
  • Works to develop the General Practice market and increase sales with GP customers

Travel is required to participate in seminars, conventions and regional meetings as needed.

Education or Formal Training: 

Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent work experience.

Tool and Die Technician

GENERAL PURPOSE / SUMMARY OF POSITION:

Primarily responsible to support Tool & Die makers and production needs from toolroom. Individual will have the opportunity to grow into a Tool & Die maker position. Assigned manufacturing tooling build, preparation, and maintenance towards meeting all product requirements and specifications. Tool & Die builds and maintains: complex stamping dies, metal Injection molds, special fixturing, and special tools.

Key Responsibilities / Duties:

  • Manual machine components for: tooling assemblies, dies, and injection molds, fixtures from blue prints and concept; along with the opportunity to use EDM wire, Sinker, and CNC.
  • Perform regular maintenance to toolroom equipment / clean and prepare tooling for production.
  • Perform regular maintenance of dies, fixtures, molds, and specialized tooling.
  • Interface with engineering, quality, and production personnel on related tooling developments, testing, improvements, and solutions.
  • Inspect parts with calipers, micrometers, comparator, height gage, Go/NOGO gages, review and interpret drawings for dimensions and tolerances.
  • Perform required duties as assigned.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and detailed oriented, our production parts are small.

Knowledge/Skills/Ability for this position include:

  • Must have knowledge of various toolroom equipment: surface grinders, milling machines, lathes, drill presses.
  • Knowledge of progressive and stamping dies, die processes, assembly, and maintenance is ideal but can expand knowledge of the processes.

Requirements for this position include:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalency
  • Advanced Mathematics. Ability to count, add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to use of geometry and trigonometry.
  • Minimum of 3 years of direct machining work experience.
  • Must have complete set of toolmaker tools, i.e.: Micrometer, calipers, indicator, etc.

 

HR Support Specialist 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Greets visitors and maintains visitor log by ensuring they are signed in and receive a visitor badge.
  • Sorts and distributes mail and paychecks.
  • Provides administrative support in the areas of recruitment, benefits and employee relations.
  • Responsible for preparing Verifications of Employment, completing surveys, and assisting with completion of HR forms.
  • Works with the Activities Committee to plan and coordinate company functions. Compiles the quarterly newsletter and maintains the facilities bulletin boards.
  • Responsible for maintaining performance evaluations, personnel records and inputting terminated employees into an Access database.
  • Maintains inventory and places orders for office supplies.
  • Responsible for employee birthday announcements, employee phone extension and emergency lists.
  • Assists with recruiting efforts by managing temporary employees, running new hire I-9 information through E-Verify, and performing MVR background checks as needed.
  • Assists the President/COO and CEO with administrative projects.
  • Any other duties as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Ability for this position include:

  • Microsoft Office experience using Word, Excel, and Outlook required.
  • HRIS software experience preferred, ADP Workforce Now v. 8 or newer is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written and ability to maintain a professional image at all times with employees
  • High level of attention to detail, and maintain a high level of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Bilingual Spanish a plus.

Sales Representative-Cincinnati

We currently have an opening for an Outside Sales Representative based in the Cincinnati area covering Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Western Pennsylvania and West Virginia.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Plans, coordinates and executes all sales and marketing functions for the geographical area assigned
  • Serves as a direct liaison between RMO and the customer to provide the best possible representation of the company’s products, services and systems
  • Develops sales plans for the geographical area assigned based on sales forecasts, economic trends, customer needs and corporate objectives
  • Analyzes results of marketing plans and provides feedback to Denver
  • Plans for proper area and customer coverage
  • Recommends appropriate pricing, promotions, marketing strategies and new products and/or services which have originated through customer requests and/or marketing analysis to be used for field operation
  • Searches for key accounts to become influence centers
  •  Effectively manage seminars, conventions and regional meetings as responsibilities require
  • Maintain a positive relationship with the university resident programs in assigned area

Experience for this position include:

  • Comprehensive understanding of dental terminology preferred
  • 1-2 years of outside sales experience preferred

Manufacturing Operators

Full-Time and Part-Time positions available with occasional overtime
Day shift and possibly swing shift (which will include a shift premium) hours are available:
Day shift (6:00 a.m. – 2:30 p.m. Monday through Friday)
Swing shift (2:20 p.m. to 10:50 p.m. Monday through Friday)

Job Responsibilities:

  • Performs all operations necessary for preparing, brazing, and inspecting bracket/base assemblies and tubes
  • Spot and weld brackets, tubes, and lingual attachments to bands
  • Performs all operations necessary for molding, trimming, and staging of brackets
  • Responsible to select, count and package parts to fill orders for inventory as well as customer orders on a daily basis
  • All work is to be performed in conformance with quality specifications and scheduling requirements

Education/Experience/Skills Required:

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to sit the majority of the day and work with very small parts using tweezers
  • Good eyesight and hand/eye coordination
  • Able to follow written and verbal instructions
  • Basic math skills
  • Good attendance is a must
  • Previous Manufacturing experience is preferred
