Case Details
Patient presented at age 13 with a class II malocclusion with ectopic eruption of the maxillary left canine. The patient had mild crowding of the lower arch, 50% deep bite and 6mm overjet. It was determined based on the lateral ceph tracing, that the patient had a normally positioned mandible with a mildly prognathic maxilla. Shamy appliances were used to distalize the maxillary first molars. Centric progressive sectional mechanics used to retract teeth into Class I. Finished with a gnathological tooth positioner. Retained with an upper Essix and lower spring retainer.
