Biography:
Dr. Shannon earned his D.D.S., M.S., and certificate of orthodontic specialty all from the University of Oklahoma. He has worked with various orthodontic suppliers in testing and developing new products, and lectures both locally and nationally on innovative orthodontic mechanics and practice management issues. Dr. Shannon has been working with implants since 1995, and was issued the International Congress of Oral Implantologists Award for pre-doctoral achievement in 1996. Since 2001, Dr. Shannon has implemented TADs while improving his success rates from ~50% in his earlier cases to over ~95% today. Dr. Shannon will demonstrate detailed specifics regarding the placement of TADs in addition to highlighting many of the most common mistakes still experienced today. Dr. Shannon currently maintains a full-time orthodontic practice in Norman, Oklahoma.
